Blue Moon XVII is a unique ceramic sculpture by French-Hungarian artist Simon Holpert, created in 2023 as part of his poetic Blue Moon series. Fired in a gas kiln at 1260–1280°C, this handcrafted piece conveys emotional depth through its flowing, organic form and signature blue glaze. Alluding to the rarity of true love—“once in a blue moon”—the sculpture explores longing, freedom, and reciprocity. Its tactile, curved surface invites contemplation and connection, echoing the artist’s belief that love, like art, is a deeply personal and transformative experience. Presented by Gallery Contai.
